Book series – Designing data intensive Application by Martin kleppmann

I am starting a blog series sharing my notes from the highly popular book – Designing Data-Intensive Applications by Martin Kleppmann. The motivation for picking this book came from a book club channel that started in May 2021 as a part of a non-profit organization to help graduates to land in the interview. It is a community of professionals and students trying to help each other in sharpening computer science fundamentals of algorithms and data structures and I am a member of the org.

In this blog series, I plan to share my notes and learnings from the book. But before that, here are few disclaimers:

I may not cover all the chapters since I participated in some of them only in the book club and any additional time that I choose to spend on reading others will be influenced by my current focus and time commitments.

I have tried my best to present the information in a clear and accurate manner but it is still based on my interpretation. I hope you will find my notes and summary helpful but if you have any feedback or think that something I have written is not correct or confusing, please reply in the comments or send me an email. Constructive criticism is always welcome.

I will consider writing this blog series a success if it intrigues you enough to dig deeper into the concepts via online resources, the youtube videos by the author himself, or read the actual book. In other words, you should not look at my posts as a substitute for reading the book. I hope you look at it as a means to an end and not the end itself.
